The Scholarship Fund is designated primarily to assist those persons who are planning to enter full‑time ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church with special interest in urban ministry.

All candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Membership in a church in the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church;
• Enrollment in a seminary approved by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church;
• Will be a full or part time seminary student for the academic year 2021 – 2022.
• Must be a certified a candidate, or an inquiring candidate, with an assigned mentor, in the candidacy process of the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church;
• Provide proof of financial need.
