Anchor House, a subsidiary of The United Methodist City Society, is a licensed provider for substance use disorders by the Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). It offers a unique faith-based approach to recovery and self-sufficiency.

Anchor House uses a system of care based on goal attainment and an individualized treatment/recovery plan. Progress towards each goal is tracked by the resident’s achievement of milestones throughout their journey.
Each resident collaborates with a counselor to identify objectives associated with each goal while receiving services. The Bergen Street location in Brooklyn serves up to 50 men and the Park Place location services up to 28 women.
